About Us

Rose and Rose models was founded by Father and Son duo, Brian and Joe Rose. Both have been active volunteers and Shillingstone Railway Station for almost ten years. Brian and Joe have an active role in rebuilding the line, as well and shunting and diesel locomotive driving operations. Following a chance discussion with the then shop manager, they realised an opportunity to design and manufacture highly detailed and historically accurate railway models.

Combining their expertise of Architectural Visualisations, Computer Aided Design and 3d modelling, they decided to take their interest in railway architecture and create Rose and Rose Models Ltd. Naturally, their first series of model releases are based on the building found at Shillingstone Station, which is a part of the historic Somerset and Dorset Railway line.

Their models are unique in that they have replicated scale interiors of each building, recreated in remarkable accuracy and details. Interiors are viewed simply by removing the model’s roof, or by looking through the glazed windows. This additional feature provides a unique level of realism to any model railway or diorama, providing exceptional details that make our models unique.

Our models are available in two ranges, “Display Ready” and “Model Kit”. Our “Display Ready” models are expertly hand painted and pre-assembled, ready for display straight out of the box.

Our “Model Kits” require assembly and painting. This allows complete creative freedom over the finish of your build, so you can adapt the model to suit your layout, and even apply weathering effects to them. Each model is supplied with a detailed instruction book, sticker sheet and glazing (where applicable), as well as recommended colour schemes.
